WHATEVER HAPPENED TO AMERICAN STYLE AND CLASS…?

I work at an International Airport. As such, I see myriads of people, foreign and domestic. At the risk of sounding like an old ‘fuddy-duddy’, I recall a time when American travelers wouldn’t be caught dead boarding an aircraft and not be dressed to the ‘nines’. Today, air travelers look like homeless refugees. Straggly hair, dirty tee-shirts complete with holes, spotty, stained sneakers and shower clogs, and grease-stained cut-offs appear to represent popular fashion choices today. I say, ENOUGH…! We need to start a ‘grass-roots’ movement to recapture our sense of style and class!
